Payment


How is payment done?

We use Upwork and your Freelancer Upwork fee will be compensated by us. If you are not an Upwork freelancer yet - no, problem! Our colleagues will help you become one, fast and easy.

How much do I get for my work?

Typically, there’s an hourly rate and considering your experience, level of expertise, and project duration the hourly rate will be fixed together. On that hourly rate there will be a small additional charge to compensate our expenses at LEXI.

When will I get payed?

Relating to Upwork commonly accepted practice, payment will be done every week on Monday.

What is LEXI-IT?

LEXI-IT is a young, growing company managing IT and SW experts from Serbia and Germany.

Is LEXI only a freelancer management company?

Mainly we focus on management to bring great companies to best freelancer for fruitful cooperation. Some experts also are interested in getting experience in a foreign country – for some time or life-long. If this is of interest to you, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Is it possible to meet LEXI team or visit customer in Germany?

Sure, we favor meeting with LEXI team on a regular basis, e.g. twice a year. With customers in Germany it depends often on project needs and time schedule.


Reporting


To whom will I report?

Relating to technical and project issues directly to the client – close and efficient communication as possible. In case of payment, work documentation, administrational things, but also discussion and disputes with client – we are your partner.

Is there a work time tracking? Is my work monitored and how?

Typically, time tracker from Upwork is used because it is much easier and automated to do daily business. If there are some technical issues and it’s not doing this, we can handle it. Logged screenshots are not of interests to us. Satisfied clients and happy freelancers are the only result we’re after

What is the working schedule?

As a freelancer you can manage your time quite freely. It just needs to be adjusted with your client’s goals, cooperative work and team meetings.

How long does a project last?

It depends on client’s needs and project’s targets.

How to synchronize your availability?

It is easy – just use the initial application form (TechPositions Serbia). After pre-check of our HR colleagues you will be contacted for further details.

How do I get new clients?

If you are looking for new jobs you will get pre-selected projects, which fit your skill set and interests. Check it and apply if you see a chance to do that. Our agents will contact you if you’re a match.




Costs

What does it cost?

For Freelancer our service is free. We offer our clients professional service; they pay for that. We add a small commission on hourly rate and overtake a bundle of services to you and clients.

How does LEXI-IT makes money?

As a intermediate management team between Serbian IT Freelancer and German companies we got a courtage paid by german clients, proportional to work hours or cleared fixed project budget. This is comparatively low due to our lean business organisation with small overhead. The courtage depends on some constraints such as project duration, management requirement, client's business and workflow and goes down to 2% of work done.

Is there an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) necessary?

Typically, an NDA is given in the start of cooperation. Based on cooperation via Upwork there is a framework to talk about project in the pre-phase. Depending on individual needs an explicit NDA is necessary.
